Sharing Our Vision of Supernatural Multiplication!
I’m writing this update as we fly from Tennessee back to Colorado after the Holston Baptist Association World Missions Conference. During that eight day event we were privileged to share our vision of supernatural multiplication in ten churches, and to meet many new church planting partners. In fact, this update may be your first email connection to our church planting journey. Either way, you are receiving this update because you have committed to pray for us. We are so thankful to have you on our team! If you haven’t checked out our website recently, www.makelovegrowco.com it has a wealth of information about how you can be even more involved in our church planting ministry; by ministering with us here in Mead, and by your financial partnership.
Now that our recently completed three-day Basic Church Planting Training is behind us, we are tackling in earnest the seemingly endless list of requirements and projects that enable us to begin gathering people for prayer, evangelism, Bible study, leadership development, and worship. Even though these activities are necessary and helpful, they can be very tiring and time consuming.
This Sunday we will be commissioned and sent out from Living Rock Church in Timnath, CO. The past seven months, church planters Kelly and Brandi Parrish have mentored us in so many ways and situations, drawing from their fruitful experiences in church planting the last two years. We can only hope that we will be able to follow in their footsteps and see a similar work of God in Mead in the months and years to come!
We are sharing this short update with you so that you can pray specifically for us! (Prayer moves the Hand that moves the world!) Since church planting activities can often take time away from our walk with the Lord, our marriage, and our other priorities, pray the Lord will help us keep the main things the main things. Pray that God will call some young families to commit to roll up their sleeves to help us love on the people who make up our beautiful community. Pray that the Lord will continue to bring in financial partners who will fund the remaining $2,000 per month support we presently lack. Pray the Lord will help us deepen our relationships with our friends and neighbors, and that we will soon have the privilege to lead many of them to a saving knowledge of Christ. And while we anticipate Grandview Church will be home-based from the start, there will come a time when we will need a larger space to meet. Will you pray that the Lord will begin preparing that special place for us?
Our dream continues to be supernatural in scope: multitudes of lost people led to Christ by new believers, all believers made into reproducing disciples, emerging leaders developed and deployed to other ministries, and churches planted that plant other churches. In other words, our desire is not to merely start another church, but we dream of starting a new church planting movement! Following Christ together, it will become a reality! God’s best to you always!
